This is going to be a beautiful time of year to retreat, as Winter reigns true at Poundon House. We will transform Poundon House into the perfect sanctuary for you to get exactly what you need from the retreat.
We will also be outside in nature for a long walk on Saturday, then enjoy the feeling of warmth as you relax by the fire with a hot fresh herbal tea on your return; the perfect setting to inspire us and get ready to flow into a new season with clarity and purpose.
We have such a wonderful weekend planned for you; a well-deserved break from the busi-ness of life, in our sanctuary away from the city you will also find peace, quiet, time in front of the fire with a book.
We also encourage you to consider taking a break from your phones and putting them to airplane mode or even handing them in to us to look after.
Ahead of the retreat we wanted to get in touch to go over a few things:
TRAVEL AND ARRIVAL
The retreat starts from 4pm on the Friday and the first yoga class will be 6.30pm.
There are frequent trains from London Marylebone to Bicester (there are two stations Bicester North and Bicester Village – both are 10 minutes by taxi from Poundon House) if you are catching a train and interested in sharing a taxi, please let me know what time so that I can help arrange this.

If you are driving, our post code is OX27 9BB and sat nav should bring you straight to the door – please make sure you enter the full postcode! There are also driving directions on our website www.poundonhouse.com.

Our holistic therapists have more than healing hands, they have healing souls and are as dedicated and passionate about massages and self-care as we are.

The therapists joining us and offering sessions on this retreat are Trish, Alicia and Charlie.
You will need to pay for your treatment ahead of the retreat via the Shop – please choose a 30 min or 60 min treatment option and also email Natalie or Alicia to let us know your preferred treatment option so that we can let the therapists know in advance.

Can you either make payment in advance (same bank account as your retreat payment) or bring cash. We can also take a card payment on the day, please let us know in advance if you’d like to do this.
WHAT TO BRING
– yoga clothes (of course!)
– We do provide mats but feel free to bring your own yoga mat / towel / eye pillow
– outdoor clothes
– outdoor trainers
– cosy clothes in case the weather turns cooler / shawl / big cardi / jumper / cosy socks and SLIPPERS!
– walking boots / wellies / rain jacket (we walk rain or shine!)
– KEEP CUP- this is SO USEFUL! It really helps us reduce use of the dishwasher and having so many mugs around!
– anything special – crystals / mala-beads or anything at all you would like to add on to the alter to charge up over the retreat
– journal / favourite pen!
– a good book
– cash for our little shop in case you fancy a browse!

We have our fantastic and experienced &Sister chef Sophie Glover making her incredible and nutritious food to keep us nourished all weekend. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements please do let us know – and also please do pop in to say hello to Sophie when you arrive, especially if you have any allergies, on your first day. The kitchen at Poundon House is very much open for everyone to pop in and make tea and have chats by the aga.
